The West Pennard Village Hall Petanque Competition took place on Saturday 13th July.
This is the 2nd year of the event and saw a 100% rise in competitors with 32 players of all ages (nine being the youngest!) battling it out in teams on a sunny afternoon, watched by a similar number of supporters. Spurred on by copious supplies of bread and cheese and a well stocked bar, the Cup tournament was won by Clive Glisson & Steve Crozier, and the Plate went to Chris Hillman & Graham Price. All monies raised go towards the upkeep of the village hall. A big thank you to all the helpers, they know who they are!!
