As aptly described by Winnie The Pooh ‘Christmas is a togethery sort of time’ and we took those words to heart at the WPVH Christmas lunch & quiz on Friday 8th December with 64 residents and friends from surrounding villages and hamlets. And what a wonderful afternoon of conviviality and fun! A lovely meal and entertaining Christmas themed quiz in a festive setting, with good company.
The atmosphere in the room can be summed up in the immortal words of Pooh…. you don’t spell love Piglet, you feel it.
Many thanks to the Somerset Foundation for their grant that added extra cheer & funding for this a very special occasion, which will now be an annual tradition!
The Village Hall lunches were the idea of Kathleen Holmes who suggested it within her response to the WPVH survey in DEC/2022 ~ thank you Kathleen for this great idea! The Christmas lunch was the third “lunch date” arranged in 2023, we have already scheduled the 2024 dates (see you event calendar!).
