We kick started our Christmas celebrations on Saturday 7th December by transforming our Village Hall into a cinema to play Elf.

We were delighted that 40 children & 35 adults joined us over movie treats to unwind & relax over this Christmas classic movie! Every child was given a very special hand knitted Elf by the wonderful craft team across the community. Father Christmas flew very quickly from the ending of Elf in New York City & arrived in West Pennard Village Hall to give a Christmas present to all the children. Following this surprise visit more of our community joined us (a gathering of 120!) for our annual switching on of the Christmas lights and our biggest outdoor Christmas tree yet! Five-year-old Seb Parsons (pictured overleaf) from West Pennard took on the grand responsibility for switching the big button on to light up the outside of the hall & tree. In addition, Seb was extremely helpful in the preparations for our event by helping decorate the hall (inside & outside!). Big thanks Seb! Afterwards we continued the festive cheer over Mulled Moons Cider, Mulled Wine, Hot Chocolate & mince pies. Sincere thanks to all involved & attended such a special event (despite Storm Darragh).
